At least 18 people die riddled in a shoe shop in Honduras.
A group of men armed with AK-47s have entered a shoe shop in the Honduran city of San Pedro Sula in the north of the country, and opened fire on workers and customers of the establishment, killing 18 of them, according to the last balance offered by the Police and recorded by the newspaper La Prensa.
The dead are men between 17, sto credits, and 35 anosSegun witnesses quoted by local media, were four gunmen who carried out the slaughter, which occurred around 1600 hours (midnight in Spain) in the marginal neighborhood of San Francisco.
The head of the Honduran National Police in San Pedro de Sula, Hector Mejia, also confirmed that there had been at least three injured. "We will work to identify the origins of this, mortal gold, crime and those responsible for them out of where we have to remove them as soon as possible," says Mejia.
The slaughter may be related to the deceased marasEntre, which according to the preliminary list released by police were aged between 17 and 35 years-all-men, is the son of the owner of the store and a member mara of '18 ', so that crime could, mortal gold, be linked to a clash between criminal youth organizations.
Police sources quoted by La Prensa reported that the area where the shooting occurred is an area controlled by the Mara '18 '.
This is the most violent incident of the number of victims recorded this year in the Central American country. The high incidence of murder recorded in Honduras have been accentuated in recent years by the presence of members of the Mexican cartels in northern Mexico, from where they help move the drugs for the United States as their final destination.
