Barbastro City Council will select three pieces to decorate the local urban space.

The City of Barbastro (Huesca) in collaboration with the Joint Union-Leze Arize border cooperation (SMALCT) has launched a competition of artistic interventions in public spaces to select three pieces that decorate various corners of urban space in the locality.

This initiative is part of the Territorial Cooperation Project 2007-2013 'legacy culture' and aims at the selection of projects of a permanent character artistic interventions in, gaia gold, public space.

The proposed locations to house the works are the market square, the Plaza San Francisco, Mina Park and Conference Center plaza, although artists may choose the location they want for their projects within the urban area of Barbastro.

The budget for this contest, the deadline for presentation of original ending December 10, amounts to 60,000 euros,, STO gold, divided into a work of 30,000 euros and two of 15,000 euros.

The call is aimed at Spanish and French artists, with the intention of stimulating the development of artistic creation and form a pathway linking public environment and artistic creations, so that the urban landscape reflects the heritage and identity of the area.

Artists interested in participating can visit the bases, on, sto credits, our 'www.barbastro.org', in which state that projects must be original and unpublished, to take into account the historical and cultural identity of the territory, and be made of suitable materials abroad.

The jury which will select and qualify the winning projects will be composed of members of the local corporation, artistic and technical advisers of the City Council and SMALC Barbastro.
