Barcelona police made a crackdown on prostitution.

Barcelona, July 14 .- A police macrooperacion made this morning against prostitution in the neighborhood of Raval, La Rambla and parts of the Eixample has resulted in the transfer of dozens of women to police for identification.

According to police sources have reported on the participated agents operating the Catalan police, the National Police and the Guardia Urbana.

Some of the, aika gold, women arrested, mostly immigrants, are in police custody for an alleged breach of the Immigration Act.

This macrorredada is part of regular operations conducted jointly by the three bodies and that are intended to reduce thefts and robberies with violence and intimidation and to avoid the fights that often occur between groups of people engaged in, aika gold, prostitution.

On July 3 other police operation around the Nou Camp ended with the identification of hundreds of prostitutes and clients, and 18 arrests.
