Diaz Paloma O'Shea Tezanos and sign an agreement to promote the 'Encuentro de Musica y Academia'.

The Ministry of Education has expanded its collaboration with the Fundacion Albeniz through an agreement signed Friday by the owner, Eva Rosa Diaz Tezanos, and the president of that entity, Paloma O'Shea. The main objective is to promote the project 'Encuentro de Musica y Academia', that during the month of July that a major activity through master classes at the Conservatory 'Jesus de Monasterio ",, sto credits, as well as with more than 60 concerts of chamber and orchestra at the Palais des Festivals and in scenarios representative of the region.

Paloma Diaz Tezanos and O'Shea have been accompanied by the Director General for Coordination and Education Policy, Ramon Ruiz, and the managing director of the Fundacion Albeniz, Antonio Gonzalez.

According to the agreement, sto energy credits, signed, the Ministry of Education provides a grant of 139 202 euros for the development of 'Encounter' and for the maintenance and improvement of a second project, called 'Music Master', which contributes to the formation of students in conservatories and their teachers through virtual classes with the best teachers in the world, linked to the Escuela Superior de Musica Reina, sto credits, Sofia.

'Music Master' is a virtual school created eight years ago by the Fundacion Albeniz which allows access, through Internet, nearly 3,000 hours of music teaching by class teachers as Teresa Berganza, Zacar Bron, Lorin Maazel, Andras Schiff, Vitalis Margulis and Vladimir Ashkenazy.

In addition, the Ministry of Education makes available to the students and teachers of the 'Encuentro de Musica y Academia' facilities and musical instruments from the Conservatory 'Jesus de Monasterio ", home for 27 days of this great music festival. Thus, about eighty young musicians of great talent, from the most prestigious schools and academies of Europe, live with each other and are formed with world renowned teachers.

Thanks to the agreement, students enrolled in the conservatories dependent on the Ministry of Education have prrential access to the various activities, both at the concerts of the "Encuentro de Musica y Academia ', which this year celebrates its tenth edition, as the consultation of bibliographic and recordings of the great masters to this program 'Music Master'.

The Government of Cantabria and the Fundacion Albeniz are signing agreements of cooperation since 2006.
