Euskadi was the only community that reduced unemployment to March, with 9,400 fewer unemployed and a rate of 10.91%.

Euskadi was the only Autonomous Community in which unemployment fell in the first quarter of year over the previous quarter, less unemployed in accounting 9400. Moreover, as the community is located with the lowest unemployment rate of the state (10.91%).

According to data from the Labour Force Survey released today by the National Statistics Institute (INE), the number of employed in the first quarter of 2010 increased by 3,800 people in Euskadi.

Compared with the same quarter the previous year, the number of unemployed increased 5,100 people, representing an increase of 4.71 percent.
