There are six main power types-fire, ice, nature, sorcery, mental and gadgets-with each having two different trees for a total of 12 power combos.
You can also choose between three movement modes: Speedsters get the ability to speed around and daze opponents like The Flash, Acrobats get grapple lines to swing between buildings and ensnare foes, while Flight characters can zoom through the skies and perform bombing attacks.
A dozen weapon specializations are also at your disposal, from close combat brawling to long-range rifle sniping. There are thousands of weapon items in the game and you can collect them through missions of buy them at vendors using DCUO Gold.
Learn from Iconic Mentors
So you’ve designed your avatar and got him battle ready. Now you have to study under a legendary mentor who will guide your adventures in DC Universe Online. For the heroes, it’s either Batman, Superman or Wonder Woman; while for villains, it’s either Joker, Lex Luthor or Circe.
Your choice of mentor will determine your story progression since you will face his or her arch-nemesis and explore their background stories. All of this you’ll do in a world inspired by the artistic vision of legendary comic book artist Jim Lee.
