Killed in protests in Iran
A new dimension of the protests in Iran: In violent clashes between opponents of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and security forces were killed in Tehran. The opposition had previously spoken of four deaths in Tehran, including a nephew of the opposition leader Mir Hussein Mousavi was. Also in the northwest four demonstrators were killed. More than 300 demonstrators were arrested. The opposition had used the Ashura festival in its new anti-government protests.
