Xunta announces aid of 2 million euros for active tourism companies.

Santiago de Compostela, May 31 .- The Regional Government has convened an order of support, financed by the European Union and valued at two million euros, to encourage the implementation and improvement of active tourism companies, said a statement from the regional administration .

The allocation of aid will depend on the size of the company. Thus, the small and medium businesses could, sto credits, receive a subsidy of as much as 40 percent, and up 30 percent in other cases.

The aid is intended to improve golf courses, develop and nautical equestrian activities, as well as the implantation and restoration of quality systems in tourist establishments.

Companies interested in receiving grants must submit an application and relevant documentation by 27 June.
